Talbot the Tooth, Just a Little wiggly is a timeless and tender tale that captures a meaningful moment in every child’s life—losing a tooth. Told from the unique perspective of Talbot the tooth himself, the story gently explores feelings of fear, uncertainty, and the power of acceptance. As Talbot faces change, he discovers that who he is inside never fades—he remains just as sparkly and bright. Through Talbot’s journey, young readers learn that even the scariest changes can lead to wonderful new adventures.

This story was written for my granddaughter, who lost her two front teeth in an accident. It’s a love letter to her strength and a gentle comfort to any child facing change.

I was born in the mid-1950s—a great time to be a kid. Life was simple, with plenty of time to play outside, share meals, and enjoy books and TV with family. Reading didn’t come easy at first, but thanks to a few inspiring authors, I grew to love it—and now I always have a book with me. Originally from Ohio, I moved around and eventually settled in Austin, Texas. Over time, my love of reading turned into writing.
My goal is to encourage curiosity, humor, and kindness through the written word —books that help build bedtime routines families will cherish for years to come.
